Conewago Isle Campground

Conewago Isle Campgrounds
6220 Big Mount Road
York, PA 17325

This campground is on a small island in the York countryside. There are a fair amount of seasonal campers there but there is also a good amount of open sites. We had a pull through site, in a field with trees. The site was very level which was nice. We also had electricity, water and sewer.

The island has a river on each side. One side has fishing and swimming. The other side has some paddle boats, canoes or kayak's available for rental.

The campsite is cash only. The man who runs the place is very friendly and helpful. The location is good if you want to go to Gettysburg or York or some other surrounding areas. There is a wonderful meat market about a mile away from the site too. Oh, and a huge farmer's market called Morningstar Marketplace is nearby.

I think we would go back there as it is nice and quiet. A nice little place.
